Creation and management of a PDB

Creating a Personal Data Base means producing the system files in the PDB directory. The operation is executed by the command PDB_CREA that creates empty system files. Then the user has a PDB structure and can fill the database selecting the data from existing public catalogues or inserting his own catalogues.

An user of the previous versions of DIRA can use the command PDB_TRANSL to convert the old PDB structure to the new structure. The system files must be converted, the catalogues do not require any change. So the same catalogue can be used with the old and new versions of DIRA.

A PDB structure is managed with the PDB_MANAG command.
